The Gingerbread Holiday Home...

Happy Holidays,

From our house to yours.

Every year my children and I make a Gingerbread house as a holiday tradition.

Sometimes it’s a traditional house covered in candy, sometimes something crafted out of odds & ends or craft supplies.

In fact, we are well known around here for the ones made entirely out of dark, milk and white chocolate.

BUT This year, the house is made of ABS...

The Gingerbread Holiday Home... with sloped brick “icing”, “chocolate” doors/window and “candy-cane” pillars. The roof is shingled in boat stud “Smarties” and the yard is surrounded with tile and tire “licorice all sorts” and 2 by 2 round “gumdrop” fence. The windows are lined with trans yellow “candy” that shines with the help of some Lego lights and a battery box that resides inside the house.

Enjoy all my holiday MOC pics here.

May all your presents have that familiar rattle....
and hopefully this post will find you in good health, and amongst friends or family this holiday season.

Need some more holiday fun???
Has building a small set lost the challenge???

... do what all the "cool" ALES are doing... build the set IN THE BAG...

Hello, my name is Jodi and I am a casting producer for ABC’s hit show Wife Swap. I am seeking families who are Lego hobbyists for our third season. On many occasions, we feature families with unique passions/hobbies and this is one we’ve never done. Plus, AFOL’s are obviously parents who encourage creativity and that is something that other families can learn. I came across your blog and thought you or someone you know may be interested in applying. Would you be interested in posting this on your blog, or do you know anyone who would be interested in applying to be on the show?
The premise of Wife Swap is to take two different families and have the mom’s switch place to experience how another family lives for one week. Half of the week, mom lives the life of the family she is staying with. The other half, she introduces a “rule change” where she implements rules and activities that her family has. It’s a positive experience for people to not only learn, but teach other ways of life.
Families on the show receive $20,000 and anyone that refers a family that is selected to be on our show is paid $1,000 per referral. Each family should consist of two parents, at least one child between the ages of 6-17, and should reside in the U.S. and have BIG, outgoing personalities.
Please let me know if you are interested or have any questions.

Holy Jodi,

I would love to be on your show.... but sadly I'm Canadian... and oh yeah, and I don't do "stupid human tricks" for a mere few thousand. Raise the pot and I will consider becoming an American citizen.

PLEASE BACK OFF!!!

You come to my PERSONAL blog about LEGO, don't even comment on my post and spam me with your crap! I wasn't going to respond to you... but since this is the 18th or 19th request I have gotten from you... I could no longer resist.

Its obvious you are harvesting emails via different Lego groups I belong to (from Lugnet, from Legofan and straight into my email over and over). Its tedious and annoying.
MOST of the people you are spamming with your email aren't even AMERICAN!!!!
Seriously, BACK off on the e-mails, enough is enough.

Your user-name is being blocked on e-mails and forums all over this community, I know you are desperate, and you are going to fall back on "this is my job"... but if its your job, than take care with it, and stop sending the same people over and over again the same message! Its not only RUDE, but extremely UNPROFESSIONAL.

Good luck with your show, Im sure it will be great, but PLEASE keep the emails to AMERICANS only (since only they are eligible) and hopefully only send it to ones that you havent already sent to and for the LOVE of all that is ABS stop spamming this community!
